Anna Troxler Mitchell

About

Anna’s art resists a single interpretation. Humor, unease, tenderness, and grief can exist within the same borders, allowing her works to shift between preciousness and distance. Working from the human figure in conjunction with the natural world, she is drawn to moments where something recognizable begins to change into the uncanny, an abject opening between observation and invention.
